This time of year, as followers of Christ, we regularly think about the birth of Jesus, God joining us in our lives by becoming one of us. Three of the four gospels express this perspective. Yet, the gospel of John turns all that on its head when John focused on the man, Jesus, who was also God. On December 20, 2020 we will learn to view Jesus as not simply one of us, but as the God who preexisted history and what impact that should have on our lives today. Please join us in reading John 1:1-18 in preparation for this message: Son of God. Click on the image to listen. Click on the Facebook logo to watch.

The way we view Mary, the mother of Jesus, is often polarized. We either see her as some sort of icon of the faith, or as merely a passing reference in the story of Christ. Is it possible that neither view is quite right? On December 13, 2020 we will recognize that Mary’s humility, coupled with her faith, is an example worth emulating, and be challenged to change the world one moment at a time through our sphere of influence. Please join us in reading Luke 1:46-55 in preparation for this message: Son of Mary. Click on the image to listen. Click on the Facebook logo to watch.

There are times in life when God seems distant. Yet, Isaiah describes God as a loving shepherd of his sheep. He has joined us in our struggles by becoming one of us. On December 6, 2020 we will be challenged to prepare the way for Jesus’ return by sharing God’s love with those around us. Please join us in reading Mark 1:1-8 and Isaiah 40 in preparation for this message: Son of Man. Click on the image to listen. Click on the Facebook logo to watch.

We have a problem: we sometimes don't recognize Christ because we already have our mind made up about his identity. We see God’s amazingly creative mind at work, not only in creation, but in the redemption of mankind. In this reveal, we also see God himself in Christ. On November 29, 2020 we will be challenged by our guest speaker, Rick Walston, to celebrate God's plan and accept our part in his ongoing revelation to the world. Please join us in reading Isaiah 64:1-9 in preparation for this message: Son of David. Click on the image to listen. Click on the Facebook logo to watch.
