Something to Confess
I Am...
April 21, 2019
Expressing our emotions - what’s going on inside of us - can often be confusing and difficult. Opening our hearts to God, we may find ourselves saying, “God, you know what I mean...” even though we may not even know ourselves. On April 14th, 2019 we learned to clarify our inner struggles by writing them out and confessing them to God. Please join us in reading Jeremiah chapters 15 & 17 in preparation for this message: Speak to Me through My Words. Click on the image to listen.

...and I Saw God
April 7, 2019
God is active in our lives in many ways, yet we often miss what He is doing. We simply don’t see His movement in our day to day lives. On April 7th, 2019 we learned to recollect the moments when God has touched our lives throughout the day recognizing the beautiful ways we connect with God. Please join us in reading Psalm chapter 65 in preparation for this message: …and I Saw God. Click on the image to listen.
Confessing Community
March 31, 2019
In our western culture of individualism, we often assume that confessing our sin to God is always enough. Yet, James tells us to “confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed (James 5:16). On March 31st, 2019 we learned why it is so important not only to confess our sin to God but to be open and honest about our mistakes with our brothers and sisters in Christ. ...and I Will Be Clean
March 24, 2019
Often, we think of God as a stern disciplinarian. We come to him confessing our faults with our heads bowed low and our heads in our hands afraid of how he might react, yet God is someone to whom it is safe to confess our mistakes and even deeper character flaws. On March 24th, 2019 we recognized that we don’t have to be afraid of coming to God to admit our sins. Please join us in reading Psalm chapter 51 in preparation for this message: …and I Will Be Clean. What Do We Gain?
March 17, 2019
Often, we shy away from examining and testing our lives against God’s will out of fear of what we might discover. Yet, God is love – he isn’t surprised by our sin and he is faithful to forgive us. On March 17th, 2019 we learned to review our day and rest in God’s love by confessing our thoughts and deeds that were not motivated by His love. Not as We Deserve
March 10, 2019
Why are we so reluctant to admit our errors – even to God? Often, admitting our sins makes us feel like failures and we think that God is mad at us. On March 10th, 2019 we met the forgiving, healing God who provides a safe atmosphere to admit our sins. Please join us in reading Psalm chapter 103 in preparation for this message: Not as We Deserve. Something to Confess
March 3, 2019
We often talk about our transforming relationship with God, yet it seems like old habits never change no matter how hard we try, discouraging us with our lack of growth into Christlikeness. It’s not up to us to transform ourselves though, but to stay connected with God in as much of life as possible. On March 3rd, 2019 we recognized our need for reflection and confession as ways we connect relationally with God. Please join us in reading Colossians chapter 1 in preparation for this message: Something to Confess. Click on the image to listen.
